  • 5 star service all the way! My dear mother sadly passed away in June of this year (2023) and soon after I contacted Medway Funeral Director to arrange her burial. The whole process was new to me and Colin explained, guided and supported me through it from start to finish. My questions were answered in a calm and friendly manner and any change or alteration I wanted for my mum's burial were nicely accommodated. The service provided was 1st class and I will 100% recommend Medway Funeral Directors.

  • When my husband of 60 years died, the thought of arranging his cremation was really daunting. I went to see Colin at Strood Medway funeral director’s and I couldn’t have wished for a kinder and more professional person to guide me every step of the way. Nothing was too much trouble and he gave us as much of his time as we needed - never ever rushing us. He organised everything and was extremely efficient and kept us in the loop as he did it. He chose Yvonne to be our celebrant and again she did an excellent job meeting with us and really understanding my husband’s life and she delivered this so well in the Eulogy. We knew we could trust Colin to deliver a first class service and he did from beginning to end. I cannot recommend him more highly. Many many thanks from our family - you helped us through a very sad experience. Anne Healy

  • Death is never easy for anyone. Being a married couple we have come across death in our life. However, losing our baby boy Beau a week before Christmas has broken us more than we could have ever imagined. We were lucky enough for Colin to carryout a funeral for one of our family members two years ago. Whilst dropping off something previously he mentioned that he leaves a night light on for all the little angels in his care. This resonated with our family and little did we know that we would need it. As you can imagine in hospital saying goodbye to your little man would never be easy but knowing Colin would look after him, made it possible for us to go home. Throughout the planning of the funeral, Colin did everything to make the day special, be it arranging a private car for just mum, dad and baby, to picking out the right celebrant. Walking in with my husband as he carried our boys casket and making sure we were okay and had our alone time at the end of the ceremony. We also had a charity go to Medway Funeral Directors to do hand and feet casting and the review they gave of Colin was outstanding with the care and attention he took with our baby. I don't think we could ever truly express or show our gratitude how much Colin has helped throughout the whole process. And given even after all of this when the funeral was over and my husband shook his hand and handed him a roll of money, he simply refused and said that it was his honour.

  • We have used Colin at the Strood office for 2 funerals now and have been very impressed each time. Everything was explained very carefully and we were able to have what we wanted in terms of music from a CD. Suggestions were made which we really liked such as flowers for everybody to place on the casket. Many people who attended have also commented on how lovely the service was which is also thanks to the celebrants who were recommended to us. The florist recommendation was also excellent.

  • Emma is a deeply caring, compassionate and intuitive funeral director. She provides amazing care for the families she supports and ensures that their loved ones are treated with dignity, respect and gentleness whilst they are in her care. She has wonderful attention to detail, both during funeral preparations and on the day itself. She will ALWAYS go the extra mile and is one of the most professional and empathetic funeral directors I have had the privilege of working with. She is also supported by a phenomenal team and the entire company's ethos ensures that families end up with the perfect, personal farewell to those whose lives are being honoured. I recommend her without hesitation.
