As a funeral celebrant, I am privileged to work with some of the best Funeral Directors in the industry. But there are always those that have a special place in your heart because you see how they always go that extra mile to give their families more, and to give them ideas to make the funeral for their loved ones something unique and special to them. Colin who runs the Frindsbury branch of Medway Funeral Directors is just such a person. I have seen the time and effort he puts in to helping his families at the most painful of times to find comfort in all the things he can put in place to give their loved ones a totally unique and special send of. Dear Colin, Thank you for providing a smooth and well presented funeral for Nancy today. All the details requested were noted by you, confirmed ahead of time and the support and management of our family pall bearers was ‘just great’ We couldn’t have wished for a better send off for mum The importance of a good send off cannot be underestimated, recognising that it is a time of stress, this was reduced / removed and all in your good and capable hands. Having your team also wear their ties of colour, ensured the flavour of mums send off was upheld. Their smooth support to me in the supply of pocket tissues was so appreciated. Immediate and kind. We appreciate all the support that you offered in this funeral journey and without question would recommend you to others. Please feel free to use this in any document promoting your services, as at the time when you need support such as you and your team have provided. It does make a world of difference to the recently bereaved. At sad times you need support. It’s not always easy to remember everything that needs to be done. Guidance by Colin and his team could not have been better. Our family used this funeral directors 8 years ago after our dad passed and more recently when our mother passed. From day one the service we received on both funerals was second to none. The support Emma and Tara gave us was amazing. The attention to detail was exceptional. I would recommend this company to anyone. Death is never easy for anyone. Being a married couple we have come across death in our life. However, losing our baby boy Beau a week before Christmas has broken us more than we could have ever imagined. We were lucky enough for Colin to carryout a funeral for one of our family members two years ago. Whilst dropping off something previously he mentioned that he leaves a night light on for all the little angels in his care. This resonated with our family and little did we know that we would need it. As you can imagine in hospital saying goodbye to your little man would never be easy but knowing Colin would look after him, made it possible for us to go home. Throughout the planning of the funeral, Colin did everything to make the day special, be it arranging a private car for just mum, dad and baby, to picking out the right celebrant. Walking in with my husband as he carried our boys casket and making sure we were okay and had our alone time at the end of the ceremony. We also had a charity go to Medway Funeral Directors to do hand and feet casting and the review they gave of Colin was outstanding with the care and attention he took with our baby. I don't think we could ever truly express or show our gratitude how much Colin has helped throughout the whole process. And given even after all of this when the funeral was over and my husband shook his hand and handed him a roll of money, he simply refused and said that it was his honour.

Emma from the moment we did the arrangements, to making sure mum was dressed, had her make up and hair done. For all the support when we came to view mum, we were given so much time and compassion, to every last detail to the end of her service and more, you have been amazing.
