We contacted Medway Funeral Directors after being let down by another funeral company and delaying my husband’s funeral for 2 weeks. Colin and Zoe contacted us immediately and gave us a prompt appointment to start things moving on In less than a week they had transferred my husband’s remains to their offices and guided us through all the steps with care respect and love. With their support and professionalism we could give my husband the send of he deserved and after the funeral we were guided on the following steps of picking up the ashes, the selection of the urns etc. Thanks Colin, Zoe and Tara for having looked after my husband’s funeral and for looking after us, the family throughout the, without doubt, the most painful weeks of our life with the utmost respect, professionalism and care. Death is never easy for anyone. Being a married couple we have come across death in our life. However, losing our baby boy Beau a week before Christmas has broken us more than we could have ever imagined. We were lucky enough for Colin to carryout a funeral for one of our family members two years ago. Whilst dropping off something previously he mentioned that he leaves a night light on for all the little angels in his care. This resonated with our family and little did we know that we would need it. As you can imagine in hospital saying goodbye to your little man would never be easy but knowing Colin would look after him, made it possible for us to go home. Throughout the planning of the funeral, Colin did everything to make the day special, be it arranging a private car for just mum, dad and baby, to picking out the right celebrant. Walking in with my husband as he carried our boys casket and making sure we were okay and had our alone time at the end of the ceremony. We also had a charity go to Medway Funeral Directors to do hand and feet casting and the review they gave of Colin was outstanding with the care and attention he took with our baby. I don't think we could ever truly express or show our gratitude how much Colin has helped throughout the whole process. And given even after all of this when the funeral was over and my husband shook his hand and handed him a roll of money, he simply refused and said that it was his honour.

Medway Funeral Directors , Colin and the team , were above and beyond my expectations regarding my husband care and funeral. My husband died sudden and unexpectedly and Colin went out of his way to ease any pressure and difficulty arising regarding dealing with the death and the afterlife care of my darling Nick. Always welcoming and friendly. The hospital had kept my husband body for a longer than expected time due to an inquest arising. Colin and the team collected Nick from the hospital, cared for him and assisted in any arrangements I needed to make. I never felt pressured or rushed In any way. Colin arranged and advised in all accounts- even to the point of me viewing my husband prior to the funeral. Always available when I needed to pop in, to see Nick, feel Nick or talk about Nick. I had a lot of jewellery made with Nicks ashes and Colin game me a small piece of Nick to carry with me to comfort me, while awaiting the completion of all jewellery using any ashes and then any spare ashes being reunited with Nicks main ashes. I cannot thank Colin and the team enough, the personal service has bonded us a good friendship and I will endeavour to keep in touch, now I have my darling Nick home, safe and sound after many moths of torment. I recommend this small, personal, family run and intimate business to anyone in need of guidance and confident their support and love for your loved one , will shine above and beyond your expectations x thank you Colin and the Whole Team ???????? kind Regards Mrs P x

Based on our experience in April '24, after the passing of our dear Mum, Colin and his team at Medway Funeral Directors were First Class! Their patience, experience and professionalism shone through making what can be a difficult time so much easier for us. From a church funeral to crematorium service and then onto the wake all the pre-planning and advice offered by Colin we acted on worked out so well and importantly kept us on track and on time. We were so pleased Mum had the send off she had wished for, so thanks again Colin to you and your team.

I suddenly found myself having to organise a funeral, which I'd never had to do before. I contacted Medway funeral directors to walk me through the process and Colin was so informative and supportive. There was no pressure to use them it was Colin's sincerity and compassion that made me go back after we registered the death. Budget was an issue but we still managed to give our loved one the best send off. I hope that I don't have to go through the process for a while yet but if I do I know where I will go. Thank you so much to Colin and the team I can't thank you enough.
